Âge : 0 à 6 mois
Which formula for a baby 0–6 months?
From birth to around six months, babies need a first infant milk — labelled Stage PRE or Stage 1 depending on the brand. These are complete milks that can be your baby's only source of nutrition or used alongside breastfeeding. Choose between cow milk (the classic first choice) and goat milk (a naturally gentle alternative).
Feeding a 0–6 month old
Newborns feed little and often, gradually taking more per bottle and fewer feeds as they grow. Until solids begin around six months, formula (or breast milk) is your baby's sole nutrition. Always follow the feeding table on the pack for your baby's age and weight.
Choose your brand
Every brand we carry offers a first infant milk for this age: HiPP, Holle and Kendamil, plus goat options from NannyCare and others.
Stage PRE or Stage 1?
Both suit newborns from birth. Stage PRE is lactose-only and lightest; Stage 1 adds a second carbohydrate, making it a little more filling for hungrier babies. Not sure? Take our formula finder quiz.
