Holle Stage 1 formula comes is either cow- or goat milk based. Compared to stage PRE, this formula includes a complementary carbohydrate in addition to lactose which in Holle's case is usually maltodextrin (except for their A2 milk stage 1 which is only lactose based). Maltodextrin makes the formula more creamy and filling, which can be beneficial to more hungry babies.
