Great

It’s a good alternative for those who struggle with cows formula. Out of necessity we had to give our newborn formula. And cows milk was giving gas, and she wouldn’t poop often. With this formula she is regular and truly enjoys it:)

Great Product Fast Shipping

This was my first time ordering from this company, having used a different company in the past, and I must say the shipping time from the Netherlands to the US was faster than the company shipping from the US had, which was shocking. Formula came in good condition, no dents or damage to the packaging or cans. Formula had good expiration dates on them, far out enough compared to the previous company I had used which expired sooner than I would have preferred for freshness sake.

As for the Nannycare Goat formula itself, as a parent in the USA I was disappointed to find that all US made formula contains Soy. Soy is an endocrine disrupting, plant based estrogen source, which in male children disrupts their body's production of the proper hormone levels for development and in girls can result in precocious puberty and other hormonal issues later in life. I do all I can to avoid soy products in my family's life, so having it in my preemie son's formula was a no-go. I would have breastfed, as I did for the first 7 weeks of his NICU stay, but my milk dried up due to the stress of the entire situation and using the pump among other general breast feeding issues I have anyway with inverted-flat nipple issues that caused a lot of problems with my last child who did exclusively breastfeed for 3 years. When we saw that we were going to have to use formula for our newborn this time around we asked our holistic doctor what she recommended and she suggested Holle formula. We ordered Holle and HiPP formula to begin with, but we found our son was spitting up A LOT, so she suggested trying goat milk instead. I ordered all the different brands, Holle, Loulouka, and Nannycare. They were all better in terms of spitting up for our son, but he preferred the taste of Nannycare over the other two.

Compared to cow sourced formula, goat milk has a bit of a yogurt type tang to it, which seemed to be more present in Holle compared to Nanny or Loulouka. My son didn't mind Loulouka, it seemed milder to Holle but he did spit up a touch more with that formula than he did the Nannycare and he just ate the Nannycare bottles more fully. He's had 8 cans of Nannycare now, and since they are 900gr cans they last 7 to 8 days rather than 4 to 6 days like the other smaller boxes.

When comparing the price per ounce of mixed formula the Nannycare cans are basically on par with USA sourced formulas, so the expense isn't any more than it would be buying formula made here. It was amusing that the Allopathic doctors we were dealing with at the hospital of my son's birth were strongly against EU sourced formulas since they are not "FDA approved." as if FDA approval means something. When looking into manufacturing processes and what regulations we have here in the states compared to the EU, the EU's regulations are far stricter than here in the states on every level. I actually feel better about the manufacturing practices of EU based formula makers than USA based ones. As for the lack of FDA approval, that mostly has to do with labeling since many are not in English, but seriously we have google translate, if you can't translate the important info from the can for measuring...well...let's just say it's easy to do. Nannycare is simple, 1 scoop per ounce of water. As to boiling water, well do research on it and you find no one says the same thing, they all have conflicting info on this topic. How you prep your water and powdered formula is up to you and your water situation. No powdered formula is considered sterile, none of them. So do your own research as to how to proceed with preparing bottles.

I was very satisfied with the way this formula arrived, a box of 6 cans inside of another external box. It was well packed and no damage happened in shipping. Given how the shipping companies like to throw boxes around and damage them I was very pleased with the condition the formula arrived. It showed up 4 days after it was shipped here in the US. I highly recommend this website and this product. I will be ordering here so long as it is in stock when I need to order. I do have a two backup websites, one that I have used and was less pleased with their service, and one I have not tried. It is best to have a few back ups just in case product is out of stock when you are in need and try to order well enough ahead of time before you need the formula so you don't run out.
