Demeter certification
Demeter is the world’s largest certification organization for biodynamically farmed ingredients, which is one of the oldest forms of organic farming. More than 50 countries use the organization’s certification process to ensure ingredients are grown and manufactured according to biodynamic standards. Holle Baby Formula
Holle offers a comprehensive range of organic baby formulas, including goat milk and cow milk formulas. Like many other brands, Holle stages their baby formulas according to the age of your child. This is done to reflect the infant’s nutritional needs human breast milk can respond to automatically. Holle Infant formula
Infant formula is intended for supporting the dietary needs of your newborn in the very first months of life and generally comes in two stages;
Holle PRE Formula (0-3 months)
PRE Formula is designed for newborns as either their only source of nutrition or as addition to breastfeeding. This formula’s only carbohydrate is lactose, which is also the main source of carbohydrates in breast milk. This stage of formula can be given to your infant as often or as much as they need during their very first months.
Holle Stage 1 Formula (0-6 months)
Holle Stage 1 Organic formula comes is either cow- or goat milk based. The goat milk version is made from delicious, full-cream goat’s milk that will give your newborn all the nutrition it needs to grow healthy. Naturally gentle and closer to breastmilk, goat’s milk formula is ideal for little ones with sensitive tummies.
Compared to stage PRE, this formula includes a complementary carbohydrate in addition to lactose which in Holle's case is usually maltodextrin (except for their A2 milk stage 1 which is only lactose based). Maltodextrin makes the formula more creamy and filling, which can be beneficial to more hungry babies.
Holle follow-on formula
Holle’s follow-on formulas can replace or form an addition to breast milk from 6 months onwards. Ideal for feeding in a bottle but also for preparing your child for follow-on formula 3 and Holle baby food after the tenth-month baby milestone.
Holle Stage 2 Formula (6-10 months)
This infant follow-on milk 2 is made from 99% organically grown ingredients. The milk used in Holle’s formula comes from cows or goats raised on biodynamic farms in a caring and appropriate environment.
Holle Stage 3 Formula (10-12 months)
Depending on which variant of Holle formula you choose, their follow-on formula stages will differ slightly. For their regular cow and goat's milk formula, stages 2 and 3 are both follow-on formulas but for their A2 cow milk formula only stages 2 and 3 are follow-on milks.
Holle toddler formula
Holle offers toddlers formula as part of their regular cow's milk and goat's milk formula range which is designated by stage 4.
Holle Stage 4 Formula (12+ months)
Holle Stage 4 baby formula is a healthy option for toddlers from the age of 12 months and up. Recommended as part of a balanced diet, Holle Bio 4 can be mixed with more solid foods like cereals or mashed fruit to provide your little one with additional nutrients.
The combination of vitamins and minerals found in Holle’s Stage 4 supports the developmental needs of toddlers as they explore the world around them. The ingredients contain no artificial chemicals or preservatives and are free of GMOs, added sugar, and gluten.
