Hipp History

In the late 1800’s, Joseph Hipp, a confectioner, made the first baby cereal out of crushed rusk (dry hard biscuits or twice baked bread) and milk. His wife had been having trouble nursing their twins, and so necessity lead to invention. Mr. Hipp’s invention took off and laid the foundation for the family business. His son George then founded his own food company in 1932. In 1956, their commitment to good farming practices lead the Hipp family to convert their farm into one of Europe’s first organic farms.

Today the Hipp Family is managed by three brothers, Claus, George and Paulus Hipp, who have held true to the long tradition of producing the purest and most nutritious, biodynamically grown, organic foods on the market.

Hipp Formula Distribution

With more than 6,000 organic source farms, Hipp has grown a lot since its founding. Hipp headquarters are located in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany with other locations in Austria and Hungary. Hipp organic formula is exported from Austria to countries all over Europe and Asia. Until recently, it was difficult to purchase Hipp products in Canada. However, we at MyOrganicFormula.com are proud to be among the first to import Hipp products. Gone are the days when you had to wait a month or more to receive your formula; with our fast free shipping, you can have your formula in under a week.

Hipp, One among Several

We are often asked what the difference between Hipp and Holle are. Both companies are European based and use similar organic, biodynamic farming techniques. With either company you can be assured that you are getting pure and wholesome products. Hipp, however has a wider variety of products to meet the needs of every situation. While Holle has a simple line of formulas (cow and goat milk), Hipp has developed formulas for babies with sensitive stomachs, constipation, allergies, who need probiotics; are older than 1 year; or need something more to keep them full during the night. The choice ultimately comes down to the individual situation.

Quality Ingredients

With Hipp you will never find any pesticides, herbicides, GMO ingredients, Antibiotics, Hormones or artificial and synthetic ingredients. Our formulas are also wheat and gluten free, many are soy free and all are peanut free. All Hipp products are produces with sustainability, animal welfare and world resources in mind. Their ingredients are safe and natural, nutritious and whole. Added sugars like corn syrup, rice syrup, glucose syrup, fructose and table sugar are never added to Hipp baby formula. Instead, where carbohydrates are needed, lactose and maltodextrin are added for safe, closer to breastmilk, sustainable energy.

Hipp formula also contains the right amounts of nutrients, vitamins and minerals for proper growth, without all the added synthetic “nutrients” other formula companies add. With your child’s health and cognitive development in mind, Hipp includes omega 3 and 6 fatty acids from fish oil and vegetable sources. Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids turn into the much acclaimed DHA and ARA in the body. Hipp has chosen to include these safe omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to protect your child from the harmful side effects of hexane and algea and fungal exposure found in most DHA and ARA additives.

Many of Hipps formulas also contain probiotic cultures, Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) and specially processed milk proteins to help nourish and protect your baby’s gut an immune system. (Hipp Combiotik, Hipp HA Combiotik, Hipp anti reflux, and Hipp sensitive).

HiPP Organic Infant Formula

A happy, healthy baby starts with a good diet. By feeding with organic instant formula, your infant can get all the necessary nutrients to grow up strong. Organic formula contains better ingredients and more prebiotics and omegas than traditional infant milk. You’ll never find pesticides or genetically modified substances in organic products.

Healthy Nutrition with HiPP - Only the Best for Your Child

Not all instant baby formulas are made with the same quality standards. Many brands contain questionable additives and a significant lack of vitamins and minerals. In addition, the pesticide residues that may be found in traditional formulas can be harmful to a child’s immune system. For a nutritious formula that’s healthy and good for the environment, the choice is clear: go organic.

HiPP is an organic formula company that has been researching breast milk for over five decades. Mothers across the world trust their formulas, which can be used to replace or supplement breastfeeding from birth. HiPP organic infant milks contain an array of healthy nutrients that will aid in your baby’s early development. Not only do HiPP formulas contain iron as well as vitamins A, C and D, they’re made with ingredients that help digestion. Their infant milks are also fortified with omegas 3 and 6, which are known to promote healthy brain development.

As an organic product, HiPP omits many unnecessary and unhealthy ingredients. There are no GM ingredients or starch solids in their formulas. Non-essential nucleotides are also omitted because infants can actually make these for themselves from amino acids. Brown rice syrup, an ingredient that’s unhealthy for babies but present in many other organic formulas, is not included either.

A Nutritional Food Source

Before you know it, your infant will be growing out of clothes, losing teeth and sprouting hair. A nutritious diet will promote health and stability during this important period of rapid growth. However, unhealthy foods could lead to childhood obesity or a weak immune system. If your baby’s diet is not 100 percent from breast milk, then consider the benefits of organic formulas. HiPP products are healthy and can satisfy even the most discerning baby appetites.

HIPP FORMULA PREPARATION

Water to HiPP Organic Formula Ratio:

To prepare HiPP formula, one ounce of water should be be mixed with one level scoop of dry formula. You should always partially fill your clean bottle halfway with water first. Then add your formula. Failing to do so could result in an inaccurate measurement.

Generally, one box of HIPP Organic Baby Formula will last an average of a week and a half to two weeks.

The Packaging Says I Need To Use Boiled Water?

United Kingdom labeling regulations for baby formula in are stricter than regulations in North America. As per these regulations, HIPP is required to follow their packaging regulations even if the product is being sold elsewhere in the world.

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), parents should use water no colder than 71 degrees C to maintain product safety. There’s a minute chance that infant formula milk could have a Cronobacter Sakazakii contamination, although the odds of this occurring are very low.

HiPP baby formula milk undergoes a rigorous safety testing with higher standards that are required by law. Cronobacter Sakazakii is a bacteria can be introduced by the environment, kitchen surfaces, or through handling.

If possible, we recommend using purified, nursery, or artisan water. During the first month of life, using boiled water is highly recommended.

Avoid using plastic bottles or containers that contain BPA for any step in the preparation and feeding process.

Before feeding your baby recently prepared formula, always be sure to test the temperature first, especially if you used boiling water.

*For best results, it is highly recommended that you follow the formula preparation instructions included with your order.

HiPP is also a name that is synonymous for ecological agriculture and sustainable values.

How does HiPP work

At the same time, HiPP organic works to improve their ecobalance. They were the first major European food producer to introduce an EMAS-based environmental management system. Despite being a growing company, they have not added to their carbon footprint.
