HiPP Anti-Reflux is designed for babies from birth upwards who suffer from reflux or regurgitation. That usually means they vomit frequently after feeds and can often be more unsettled than other babies.
This formula contains natural carob bean, which thickens the milk in your baby’s bottle and helps it stay in their stomach where they can digest it easily and get all the nutrients they need. It’s free of starch, making it easy to digest, and has no added sweeteners, corn syrup or soy.
HiPP Anti-reflux will give your baby all the nutritional goodness they need to grow healthy, including:Carbohydrates. HiPP anti-reflux uses natural lactose as its main source of carbs, with ZERO added starch, which some babies find hard to digest.
Proteins. Made with the perfect balance of whey protein, easy for little ones with sensitive tummies to digest.
Fats. Brain-healthy fats in the form of omega 3 and 6 and DHA.

How to prepare and store
Step 1:
Wash hands and sterilize all equipment following the manufactures instructions.
Step 2:
Boil fresh water and leave to cool to approximately 40°- 50°C *. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
Step 3:
Add 2/3 of the required water to the bottle.
Step 4:
Using the scoop provided add the correct number of scoops of powder- 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water (approximately 30 ml). Level off the powder using the scoop leveler. Do not press the powder.
Step 5:
Close the bottle and shake vigorously. Add the remaining water and shake vigorously again.
Step 6:
HiPP Anti-Reflux should be left to stand for 7 minutes after preparation so it may thicken.
Step 7:
Afterwards, shake again and check that the milk is at feeding temperature (approx. 37°C). Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding.
*In order not to damage the natural lactic acid cultures (lactobacilli), please do not prepare the food with too hot water.

**After the 5th month it is best to consult with a pediatrician. It is recommended that babies eat about 5 meals per day.
The quantities of daily feedings are shown for guidance only. Minor deviations are perfectly safe. Please only use the enclosed measuring scoop.
Care Instructions:
- Expiration date is indicated on each box and sealed bag
- Keep away from heat and humidity
- Discard mixed unconsumed formula after 2 hours
- Once formula bag is open, use in the next 3 weeks
- Formula is best when stored in stainless steel or glass containers
- Always prepare fresh food for your baby. Do not use leftovers.
- Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur which could cause scalding
- This product should not be used in conjunction with antacids or other feed thickeners.
- Due to the presence of the natural thickener locust bean gum in this formula, you may notice that your baby's stool becomes softer. This is perfectly normal.

What age is HiPP Anti-Reflux for?
HiPP Anti-Reflux is suitable from birth and can be used as your baby's only milk. After 6 months it can be used alongside solid foods. There are no separate stages.
Is HiPP Anti-Reflux right for my baby?
HiPP Anti-Reflux is a food for special medical purposes, for the dietary management of frequent spitting up and regurgitation in babies. Some spitting up is normal in healthy babies and doesn't need a special formula, so speak to your doctor before switching. Do not use it if your baby has, or may have, a cow's milk protein allergy, and don't combine it with antacids or other feed thickeners unless your doctor advises it.
Is HiPP Anti-Reflux organic?
No. HiPP Anti-Reflux is not certified organic. It is made by HiPP in Germany under EU rules for special infant formulas.
Is HiPP Anti-Reflux gluten-free and soy-free?
Yes. HiPP Anti-Reflux is gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free and peanut-free.
Does HiPP Anti-Reflux contain starch or maltodextrin?
No. It is thickened with locust bean gum (carob bean gum), and lactose is its only carbohydrate. After mixing, let the bottle stand for about 7 minutes so it can thicken, then shake again. A faster-flow teat often works better with the thicker milk, and softer stools are normal.
Does HiPP Anti-Reflux contain DHA?
Yes. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to normal visual development in infants up to twelve months. HiPP Anti-Reflux also contains ARA (omega-6), iron and vitamins A, C and D.
Does HiPP Anti-Reflux contain probiotics?
Yes. HiPP Anti-Reflux contains natural lactic acid cultures originally derived from breast milk.
How is HiPP Anti-Reflux different from HiPP Comfort?
Both are special formulas from birth, for use under medical supervision. HiPP Anti-Reflux is for babies who bring up milk often: it uses standard milk protein and is thickened with locust bean gum. HiPP Comfort is for wind, colic and constipation: its milk protein is partially broken down and it has reduced lactose. Your doctor can help you decide which suits your baby.
How many bottles does one box of HiPP Anti-Reflux make?
Each box contains 600 g of powder and makes approximately 4.5 litres (155 fl oz) of prepared formula — around 22 bottles of 200 ml. Follow the preparation instructions on the pack.
How many boxes of HiPP Anti-Reflux do I need per month?
If formula is your baby's only milk, expect about 4 boxes in the first month, around 5 a month from two to four months, and 6 to 7 a month from five months. Every baby is different, so treat this as a guide and follow the feeding chart on the pack.
How long can my baby use HiPP Anti-Reflux?
Only for as long as your doctor recommends and your baby needs it. Your doctor can advise when to move back to a standard formula.
What should I do if HiPP Anti-Reflux doesn't help?
If there is no improvement within a few days, go back to your doctor. Seek medical advice promptly if your baby vomits forcefully, has blood in their vomit or stool, refuses feeds or isn't gaining weight — these need assessment rather than a change of formula.
