Which formula for a baby 6–12 months?

From around six months, babies move on to a follow-on milk — usually labelled Stage 2. It has adjusted nutrition, including more iron, to support this stage alongside solid foods. Choose cow milk or goat milk.

Feeding a 6–12 month old

As your baby starts solids, milk feeds gradually reduce but remain an important source of nutrition. Follow-on formula is designed to complement a weaning diet, not replace it. Follow the feeding guide on the pack for amounts.

Do I need to switch to follow-on?

Switching is optional — many parents move to Stage 2 for the adjusted iron content, but a Stage 1 first milk can also be continued alongside solids. Your paediatrician can advise.
