HiPP German stages

Stage PRE — from birth. Lactose-only, closest to breast milk.
Stage 1 — from birth (0–6 months). Complete first infant milk.
Stage 2 — follow-on (6–10 months). Adjusted nutrition once solids begin.
Stage 3 (10–12 months) & Stage 4 (12+ months) — toddler milks.

Starch in HiPP German formula

Unlike the lactose-only HiPP Dutch range, most HiPP German stages include organic starch as a secondary carbohydrate, which makes the formula a little more filling. For most babies (especially 6 months+) starch in formula is perfectly fine; parents who prefer to avoid it can choose HiPP Pure or HiPP Dutch.
