Sensitive Formula
Which sensitive formula does my baby need?
“Sensitive” covers several different needs. Here's how the main types compare — when in doubt, your paediatrician can help you choose:
| Type | Best for | Explore |
|---|---|---|
| Comfort / reduced-lactose | Colic, constipation, gas, lactose sensitivity | Comfort formula |
| Anti-Reflux (AR) | Frequent spit-up and reflux | Anti-reflux |
| Hypoallergenic (HA) | Reducing allergy risk in sensitive babies | Hypoallergenic |
| Goat milk | A naturally gentle, A2 alternative | Goat milk |
Comfort & reduced-lactose formula
For babies with mild digestive discomfort — colic, constipation, gas — Comfort formulas use gently broken-down protein and reduced lactose to support smoother digestion.
Anti-reflux (AR) formula
Babies who spit up frequently may benefit from anti-reflux formula, which is slightly thickened to help feeds stay down. Speak to your healthcare provider if reflux is severe or persistent.
Hypoallergenic (HA) formula
Hypoallergenic formula uses hydrolysed protein to help reduce the risk of allergic reactions in sensitive babies. Important: HA formula is not suitable for a diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) — that needs an extensively hydrolysed or amino acid-based formula prescribed by your doctor.
Goat milk formula
Goat milk formula is naturally A2 and forms softer curds, a gentle option for babies who don't get on well with standard cow milk (though not suitable for a diagnosed cow's milk allergy).

Frequently asked questions
What is sensitive baby formula?
It's formula designed to be gentler on babies with sensitive digestion — covering comfort/reduced-lactose, anti-reflux and hypoallergenic options, plus naturally gentle goat milk.
Which formula is best for colic or constipation?
A Comfort formula is often the first choice for colic, constipation and gas. Persistent symptoms are worth discussing with your paediatrician.
Which formula is best for reflux?
A thickened anti-reflux formula can help reduce spit-up. Check with your healthcare provider first if reflux is severe.
Can I use a sensitive formula for a cow's milk allergy?
A diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy needs a prescribed extensively hydrolysed or amino acid-based formula — standard HA, comfort and goat formulas are not suitable. Always consult your paediatrician.
