HiPP Dutch Stage 1 Organic Bio Combiotic is a formula made in Germany for the Dutch market. The formula is suitable for children from birth onwards and can be given to infants till they are six months old. It can be used to supplement breastfeeding or as an alternative to breastfeeding.
The formula contains prebiotics and probiotics. Lactose is the only carbohydrate in the formula, and the natural lactic acid cultures are very similar to breast milk. The formula also complies with the new EU regulations for organic formula milk and now contains DHA. HiPP Dutch Stage 1 Organic formula also has LCPs (Omega 3 and Omega 6), which are vital for eye and brain development in children.
HiPP Stage 1 Dutch Organic Bio Combiotic is made from the finest organic ingredients, but it is always advisable to consult a doctor before moving a child to formula milk.

How to prepare and store
Step 1:
Before use, sterilize the bottle, nipple, and ring in boiling water.
Step 2:
Boil the water and allow it to cool to room temperature.
*We recommend boiling spring water
Step 3:
Pour approximately half of the water into the bottle.
Step 4:
Fill the measuring spoon and level with a knife.
Step 5:
Add milk powder indicated in the table below.
Step 6:
Close the bottle and shake thoroughly.
Step 7:
Add the rest of the water and shake again.

What age is HiPP Dutch Stage 1 for?
HiPP Dutch Stage 1 is suitable from birth to 6 months. It can be used as your baby's only milk or alongside breastfeeding. From 6 months, move on to HiPP Dutch Stage 2.
Is HiPP Dutch Stage 1 right for my baby?
HiPP Dutch Stage 1 is a complete first infant milk for healthy babies from birth. It uses lactose as its only carbohydrate — the same carbohydrate found in breast milk — and is free from starch and maltodextrin, which some babies find harder to digest. If your baby has a diagnosed food allergy, speak to your paediatrician before choosing a formula.
Does HiPP Dutch Stage 1 contain GMOs, pesticides or hormones?
No. HiPP Dutch Stage 1 is EU organic certified and made without GMOs, synthetic pesticides, herbicides, added hormones or antibiotics. Added sugars such as corn syrup, glucose syrup and sucrose are never used in HiPP formula.
Is HiPP Dutch Stage 1 gluten-free and soy-free?
Yes. HiPP Dutch Stage 1 is gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free and peanut-free.
Is HiPP Dutch Stage 1 good for sensitive tummies?
Many parents choose HiPP Dutch for this reason. It contains no starch, no maltodextrin and no soy, and adds prebiotic fibres (GOS) and lactic acid cultures to support a healthy gut. If your baby has persistent colic, reflux or constipation, a specialty formula such as HiPP Comfort or HiPP Anti-Reflux may suit them better — discuss this with your paediatrician.
Does HiPP Dutch Stage 1 contain DHA?
Yes. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to normal visual development in infants up to twelve months. HiPP Dutch Stage 1 also contains ARA (omega-6), iron and vitamins A, C and D.
Does HiPP Dutch Stage 1 contain probiotics?
Yes. HiPP Dutch contains natural lactic acid cultures originally derived from breast milk, alongside prebiotic fibres (GOS). This is one of the differences between HiPP Dutch and HiPP UK, which is prebiotic-only.
How is HiPP Dutch different from HiPP German and HiPP UK?
All three are made in Germany and EU organic certified. HiPP Dutch is lactose-only and starch-free, and contains both prebiotics and probiotics. HiPP German has the widest stage range and most stages include organic starch, which makes it more filling. HiPP UK is the British recipe and is starch-free, but without probiotics.
How many bottles does one can of HiPP Dutch Stage 1 make?
Each can contains 800 g of powder and makes approximately 6 litres (200 fl oz) of prepared formula — around 40 bottles of 150 ml. Follow the preparation instructions on the pack.
How many cans of HiPP Dutch Stage 1 do I need per month?
If formula is your baby's only milk, most newborns get through around 3 cans in the first month. That rises steadily as your baby grows — by six months, around 5 cans a month is typical. Every baby is different, so treat this as a guide and follow the feeding chart on the pack.
Which stage comes after HiPP Dutch Stage 1?
HiPP Dutch Stage 2, from 6 months onwards. There is no need to switch on your baby's six-month birthday exactly; many parents finish the can they have open first.
Do I have to pay import duties on orders to Canada?

Expiration dates are always at least 6 months into the future, but mostly 12 months into the future. We strive to provide the freshest ingredients with the fastest turnarounds. We never ship perishable products that are about to expire!
What is the storage life once my product is opened?
HiPP Infant Milk Formulas can stay fresh for up to 21 days after being opened.
How do I properly store my product once it's opened?
For longer-lasting freshness, always make sure to reseal the bag and place it back in the original package or store in a reusable container between uses. Store in a dry place at room temperature.
Do I have to use boiling water?
We recommend you follow the manufacturer's preparation instructions, which usually includes freshly boiling water for each meal to kill bacteria and ensure proper sanitation.
What if my baby doesn't like the taste?
If for whatever reason your baby doesn't like the taste, we'll give you a store credit so you can try another brand on us. However, we always recommend giving it a try for at least a week.
Is it OK to prepare formula ahead of time for use later?
The safest way to prepare formula is to make it fresh each time as needed. This is because formula that's been sitting around has more time for harmful bacteria to grow, especially when kept at room temperature. However, if you need to prepare ahead of time, make sure to store in the refrigerator below 41° F/5° C.
Can I bring prepared formula with me when I'm traveling?
Yes, but make sure to store in a cold cooler during transport and don't keep it for longer than two hours.
How do I rewarm refrigerated formula?
Feeds can be rewarmed by placing the tightly sealed feed in a container of warm water, stirring and swirling occasionally to make sure it heats evenly.
