What is HiPP German Stage 1?

Stage 1 is a nutritionally complete first infant milk for babies from birth to around six months, used as your baby's only source of nutrition or alongside breastfeeding. It provides the energy, DHA, vitamins and minerals a newborn needs. Compared with Stage PRE, Stage 1 includes organic starch as a second carbohydrate, which makes it a little more filling — often better suited to hungrier babies.

Pure (500 g powder) — starch-free, palm-oil-free, made with whole milk fat.

Feeding guide (0–6 months)

In the first months babies feed frequently, gradually taking a little more per bottle and dropping feeds as they grow. Stage 1 is designed as the sole milk source until solids begin around six months. Always follow the feeding table on the pack for your baby's age and weight, and check with your health visitor or paediatrician if unsure.

How to prepare HiPP Stage 1

Make up each bottle fresh with previously boiled water cooled as directed, using the exact scoop-to-water ratio. Don't add extra powder, and discard anything left after a feed.

Which stage comes next?
