HiPP German Stage Pre Goat Milk Formula is an infant formula made from organic goat's milk, suitable from birth. It can be used as your baby's only milk or alongside breastfeeding.

How to prepare and store

HiPP infant formulas dissolve quickly and can be prepared in minutes. Preparation instructions are included in every package so it’s easy to follow along. 

How to Prepare Fresh

  1. Boil water and allow to cool to about 50 °C / 122 °F
  2. Fill roughly half the bottle with boiled water
  3. Use the measuring spoon provided and add the correct number of scoops (1 scoop per fluid ounce of water). Spoonfuls should be flat, not heaping
  4. Close the bottle and shake until powder is completely dissolved
  5. Fill the remaining half of the bottle and shake again until the powder is evenly diluted
  6. Allow to cool to about 37 °C / 98.6 °F 
  7. Squeeze a drop onto your forearm to test the temperature before feeding

How to Refrigerate and Store Prepared Formula:

Need to plan ahead and prepare some formula for later? No problem! Simply refrigerate the formula in temperatures below 41° F/5° C. Keep in mind that the longer you store, the more opportunity there is for harmful bacteria to grow. It’s always best to use formula within 2-3 hours of preparation. 

How to Reheat Prepared Formula:

Prepared formula can easily be rewarmed by placing the tightly sealed feeding container into a separate container of warm water. Occasionally shake and swirl the feeding container to ensure that it heats evenly. 

How to Store Opened Package of Dry Formula:
After opening, reseal the pouch and store in the original cardboard box, or use a sealable storage container. When stored properly, HiPP Infant Milk Formulas can last up to 21 days.

What age is HiPP German Goat Pre for?
HiPP German Goat Pre is suitable from birth and can be used as your baby's only milk or alongside breastfeeding. From 6 months, you can move on to HiPP German Goat Stage 2.
Is HiPP German Goat Pre right for my baby?
HiPP German Goat Pre is a complete infant formula made from organic goat's milk, for healthy babies from birth. Some families prefer goat's milk formula for its taste or simply as an alternative to cow's milk. It is not a treatment for tummy troubles or allergy. If your baby has a diagnosed food allergy, speak to your paediatrician before choosing a formula.
Can HiPP German Goat Pre be used for a cow's milk protein allergy?
Not without your doctor's advice. Goat's milk proteins are very similar to cow's milk proteins, and many babies who react to one also react to the other. HiPP notes on the pack that the formula contains proteins similar to cow's milk as well as traces of cow's milk, and should only be used in consultation with your paediatrician if a cow's milk protein allergy is present or suspected.
Does HiPP German Goat Pre contain GMOs, pesticides or hormones?
No. HiPP German Goat Pre is EU organic certified and made without GMOs, synthetic pesticides, herbicides, added hormones or antibiotics. Added sugars such as corn syrup, glucose syrup and sucrose are never used in HiPP formula.
Is HiPP German Goat Pre gluten-free and soy-free?
Yes. HiPP German Goat Pre is gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free and peanut-free.
Does HiPP German Goat Pre contain starch or maltodextrin?
No. Lactose is its only carbohydrate, and it contains no starch, maltodextrin or added sugars.
Does HiPP German Goat Pre contain DHA?
Yes. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to normal visual development in infants up to twelve months. HiPP German Goat Pre also contains ARA (omega-6), iron and vitamins A, C and D.
Does HiPP German Goat Pre contain probiotics?
No. Unlike HiPP's cow's milk Combiotik formulas, HiPP goat's milk formula does not contain lactic acid cultures. It does contain prebiotic fibres (GOS).
How is HiPP Goat different from HiPP cow's milk formula?
The main difference is the milk: HiPP Goat is made with organic goat's milk instead of cow's milk. It is lactose-only and starch-free and contains prebiotic fibres (GOS), but no lactic acid cultures. It meets the same EU nutritional requirements as HiPP's cow's milk formulas.
How is HiPP German Goat different from HiPP Dutch Goat?
The recipes are very similar. HiPP German Goat Pre and HiPP Dutch Goat Stage 1 are both lactose-only infant formulas from birth, with the same levels of DHA, ARA and iron. The main differences are the packaging — a box for the German version and a can for the Dutch one — and the stage name.
How many bottles does one box of HiPP German Goat Pre make?
Each box contains 400 g of powder and makes approximately 3.1 litres (105 fl oz) of prepared formula — around 15 bottles of 200 ml. Follow the preparation instructions on the pack.
How many boxes of HiPP German Goat Pre do I need per month?
If formula is your baby's only milk, expect about 6 boxes in the first month, around 8 a month from two to four months, and about 10 a month from five months. The boxes are smaller than most (400 g), so you need more of them. Every baby is different, so treat this as a guide and follow the feeding chart on the pack.
Which stage comes after HiPP German Goat Pre?
