HiPP DE Stage 2 is for babies aged from 6-10 months, either as a supplement to breastmilk or a complete replacement, alongside solid food.
It contains prebiotics and probiotics, including lactic acid cultures originally derived from breastmilk, to help your baby develop their natural gut balance.
It’s free of added sugar and maltodextrin, which many babies find difficult to break down, and includes only easy-to-digest mild organic starch to make it extra creamy and filling.
We know that babies are often picky eaters, so if you find that your baby doesn’t like HiPP DE Stage 2, just let us know and we’ll give you a store credit so you can choose another brand.

How to prepare and store
Step 1:
Clean bottle, teat and ring thoroughly.
Step 2:
Check the closure and protective foil for perfect condition before use. Shake the still-sealed bottle vigorously before opening it for the first time.
Step 3:
Pour the required amount into a feeding bottle and warm it to approx. 40 °C. Do not heat the food in the microwave (risk of scalding).
Step 4:
Allow to cool to drinking temperature (approx. 37 °C) and check before feeding. Feed immediately and discard any leftovers.
Use: following breastfeeding, and as a supplement to complementary food after the 6th month. Each bottle contains 200 ml.
The amounts and number of portions are guidelines and can vary. Babies need approx. 5 meals a day.
Care Instructions:
- Follow the instructions for preparation carefully. Improper preparation and storage of the prepared food can lead to health problems, e.g. through the growth of undesirable germs
- Store an opened, unwarmed bottle closed in the refrigerator (max. 6 °C) and use within 24 hours
- Store dry at room temperature. Make sure the packaging is undamaged before use
- Breastfeeding during the first six months is ideal for your baby. Follow-on formula should not be used as a breast milk substitute during the first six months, but in principle only after six months as part of a mixed diet. Your baby's individual growth and development needs may make it necessary to introduce follow-on formula as part of a mixed diet at an earlier point. Please seek advice from your paediatrician or midwife. Make sure your baby has a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle
- Like breast milk, all infant formulas contain carbohydrates. Frequent or prolonged contact of the teeth with carbohydrate-containing liquids can cause tooth decay. Do not let your child suck on the bottle continuously, and let them drink from a cup as early as possible

What age is HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed for?
HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed is a follow-on milk for babies from 6 months, alongside solid foods.
Is HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed the same as the powder?
It is the ready-to-drink version of HiPP German Stage 2: the same stage and age range, supplied as a liquid so there is no powder to measure and no water to boil. The liquid recipe differs slightly from the powder, so check the nutrition table if you are comparing the two.
How do I use ready-to-feed formula?
Shake the bottle well, open it and pour the amount your baby needs into a clean, sterilised feeding bottle or cup. It can be given at room temperature, or warmed by standing the bottle in warm water — never in a microwave. Discard any milk left over after a feed.
How long does an opened bottle keep?
Once opened, close the bottle, keep it in the fridge and use it within 24 hours. Unopened bottles can be stored at room temperature until the best-before date.
Does HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed contain GMOs, pesticides or hormones?
No. HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed is EU organic certified and made without GMOs, synthetic pesticides, herbicides, added hormones or antibiotics. Added sugars such as corn syrup, glucose syrup and sucrose are never used in HiPP formula.
Is HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed gluten-free and soy-free?
It is gluten-free, but not soy-free: it contains soy lecithin as an emulsifier. If your baby has a soy allergy, speak to your paediatrician before using it.
Does HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed contain starch or maltodextrin?
It contains a small amount of organic starch (1.2 g per 100 ml) alongside lactose, but no maltodextrin or added sugars.
Does HiPP German Stage 2 Ready-to-Feed contain DHA?
Yes. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to normal visual development in infants up to twelve months. It also contains prebiotic fibres (GOS) and higher iron levels than Stage 1 to support your growing baby.
How many 200 ml bottles does my baby need per day?
If ready-to-feed is your baby's only milk, expect about 4 bottles a day from 6 to 8 months, dropping to around 3 a day as solid foods increase. Many families use ready-to-feed alongside powder — for days out or travel. Every baby is different, so treat this as a guide.
Which stage comes after HiPP German Stage 2?
