HiPP UK Comfort is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of wind, colic and constipation in babies, for use under medical supervision.
The proteins in HiPP UK Comfort are partially hydrolysed – broken down into smaller pieces. It is not suitable for babies with a diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy.
It has a reduced lactose content, with maltodextrin and starch making up the rest of its carbohydrate. It contains DHA and ARA, and prebiotic fibres (GOS).
HiPP UK Comfort is not certified organic, and it contains palm oil and fish oil.
Each 800 g tin is suitable as the only milk from birth and as part of a weaning diet from 6 months.

Source of protein: hydrolysed whey protein (from cows' milk).
Step 1:
Wash hands and sterilise all equipment following the manufacturers' instructions.
Step 2:
Boil 1 litre of freshly run water and leave to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
Step 3:
Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle (referring to the feeding guide).
Step 4:
Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of scoops of powder. Level off using the scoop leveller. Do not press the powder.
Step 5:
Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until all powder has dissolved (approx. 15 seconds).
Step 6:
Cool to drinking temperature (approx. 37 °C) by holding the bottle under cold running water, and feed immediately. ALWAYS test the temperature of the milk before feeding.
Opening: open the lid, slowly pull back the foil seal using the tab and safely dispose of it. Close the tin tightly after use.
1 scoop = approx. 4.3 g powder. Standard preparation: 12.8 g powder + 90 ml water = 100 ml prepared feed. One tin makes approx. 62 feeds of 100 ml. The feeding guide on the tin also lists the approximate weight of the baby: 3.3 kg (0–2 weeks), 3.8 kg (3–4 weeks), 4.6 kg (5–8 weeks), 5.35–6.7 kg (2–4 months), 7.2 kg (5 months), 7.6 kg (about 6 months). This table is a guide only; your baby should be fed on demand, particularly in the first few weeks, and may need more or less than the volumes stated. If you need more advice, please contact your healthcare professional.

It should only be used under medical supervision. Suitable as baby's sole source of nutrition from birth as well as from 6 months as part of a mixed diet. For enteral use only. Should you notice no improvement of your baby's symptoms within a few days, please consult your healthcare professional.
Care Instructions:
- Please follow preparation and feeding instructions carefully; failure to do so may make your baby ill, as powdered milks are not sterile
- HiPP Comfort Milk is thicker than standard infant formulas so may flow better through a faster flow teat
- Only use the scoop provided in the pack
- Feeds should not be made weaker or stronger than indicated and nothing else should be added
- Always freshly prepare feeds and use immediately
- For hygiene reasons, do not prepare in advance and throw away any unfinished feeds within 2 hours
- Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur which could cause scalding
- Never leave your baby alone during feeding
- Store in a cool dry place, do not refrigerate
- Use within 3 weeks of opening
- Introduce a cup or beaker as soon as possible to prevent prolonged/frequent contact of teeth with milk feeds as this may increase the risk of tooth decay
