How to prepare and store
Step 1:
Boil the amount of water given in the feeding table and allow it to cool to approx. 50 °C. Pour half of the water into the bottle.
Step 2:
Measure the required number of scoops loosely, without pressing the powder down. Level off with the back of a knife and add to the water in the bottle. Shake well.
Step 3:
Add the remaining water and shake well again.
Step 4:
Allow to cool to approx. 37 °C and feed.
1 level scoop = 4.5 g. Standard preparation: 13.5 g powder + 90 ml boiled water = 100 ml of ready-to-drink formula. One tin makes approx. 59 feeds of 100 ml. The recommended amounts are a guideline; small deviations are harmless and perfectly natural.
Care Instructions:
- Follow the preparation instructions exactly; the correct dosage always gives your baby the nutrients it needs
- Use only the enclosed measuring scoop
- Incorrect preparation or storage can harm your baby's health
- Always prepare each feed freshly; do not reuse leftovers
- Do not heat in the microwave (risk of overheating)
- Clean bottle, teat and ring thoroughly
- Store protected from heat; best before date: see bottom of the tin
- After opening, store in a cool, dry place (not in the refrigerator) and use within 3 weeks

What age is Holle Dutch Stage 1 for?
Holle Dutch Stage 1 is suitable from birth and can be used as your baby's only milk or alongside breastfeeding. From 6 months, you can move on to Holle Dutch Stage 2.
Is Holle Dutch Stage 1 right for my baby?
Holle Dutch Stage 1 is a complete infant formula for healthy babies from birth. It uses lactose as its only carbohydrate and contains no starch or maltodextrin. If your baby has a diagnosed food allergy, speak to your paediatrician before choosing a formula.
Is Holle Dutch Stage 1 organic and Demeter certified?
Holle Dutch Stage 1 is EU organic certified, and about two-thirds of its ingredients (67%) come from Demeter-certified biodynamic farming. It contains no GMOs and no added sugars such as corn syrup or sucrose.
Is Holle Dutch Stage 1 gluten-free and soy-free?
Yes. Holle Dutch Stage 1 is gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free and peanut-free.
Does Holle Dutch Stage 1 contain starch or maltodextrin?
No. Lactose is its only carbohydrate, and it contains no starch, maltodextrin or added sugars.
Does Holle Dutch Stage 1 contain palm oil?
Yes. Holle Dutch Stage 1 contains palm oil from sustainable cultivation, together with sunflower and rapeseed oil.
Does Holle Dutch Stage 1 contain DHA?
Yes. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to normal visual development in infants up to twelve months. The DHA in Holle comes from algae rather than fish oil. Holle Dutch Stage 1 also contains ARA (omega-6), iron and vitamins A, C and D.
Does Holle Dutch Stage 1 contain probiotics?
No. Holle formula contains no lactic acid cultures and no added prebiotic fibres such as GOS.
How is Holle Dutch different from Holle German?
The recipes are the same: Holle Dutch Stage 1 and Holle German Stage 1 have the same ingredients and nutrient levels. The differences are the packaging — an 800 g can for the Dutch version and a 400 g box for the German one — and the language on the pack.
How many bottles does one can of Holle Dutch Stage 1 make?
Each can contains 800 g of powder and makes approximately 5.9 litres (200 fl oz) of prepared formula — around 29 bottles of 200 ml. Follow the preparation instructions on the pack.
How many cans of Holle Dutch Stage 1 do I need per month?
If formula is your baby's only milk, expect about 3.5 cans in the first month, around 4 to 5 a month from two to four months, and about 5 a month from five months. Every baby is different, so treat this as a guide and follow the feeding chart on the pack.
Which stage comes after Holle Dutch Stage 1?
Holle Dutch Stage 2, from 6 months onwards.
