Holle Cow Milk Stage 2 organic is the new version of Holle's old stage 2 formula. It now has DHA sourced from fish oil and is suitable for children from six months onwards. The formula can be used to complement breastfeeding or on its own.
You can give Holle Cow Milk Stage 2 organic formula to children as part of a mixed diet. It contains organic skimmed milk that is certified by Demeter. It does not contain artificial flavors or chemicals. Since this is a new formula, its nutrient composition is slightly different from the previous version as well.

How to prepare and store
Step 1:
Thoroughly sterilize the bottle, nipple, and ring in boiling water for about 3-5 minutes before use.
Step 2:
Boil the water and let it cool down to approximately 50°C
Step 3:
Pour approximately half of the water into the bottle (for exact amount, see measuring table below).
Step 4:
Fill the measuring scoop with the required amount and level with a knife.
Step 5:
Close the bottle and shake vigorously. Fill up the remaining water and shake vigorously again.
Step 6:
Allow the surface area to cool to the drinking temperature 37°C. It is recommended to check the temperature before drinking.

Care Instructions:
- Expiration date is indicated on each box and sealed bag
- Keep away from heat and humidity
- Prepared formula should be consumed within the hour
- Leftovers kept at room temperature for 60 minutes or longer should be discarded
- Prepared formula can be kept for 24 hours if refrigerated
- Once formula bag is open, use in the next 2 weeks
- Formula is best when stored in stainless steel or glass containers
- Always prepare fresh food for your baby
- Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur which could cause scalding

What age is Holle Stage 2 for?
Holle Stage 2 is a follow-on formula for babies from 6 months, alongside solid foods. From 10 months, you can move on to Holle Stage 3.
Is Holle Stage 2 right for my baby?
Holle Stage 2 is a follow-on formula for healthy babies from 6 months, designed to sit alongside a growing weaning diet. Alongside lactose, it contains maltodextrin and a small amount of organic starch. If your baby has a diagnosed food allergy, speak to your paediatrician before choosing a formula.
Is Holle Stage 2 organic and Demeter certified?
Holle Stage 2 is EU organic certified, and about two-thirds of its ingredients (68%) come from Demeter-certified biodynamic farming. It contains no GMOs and no added sugars such as corn syrup or sucrose.
Is Holle Stage 2 gluten-free and soy-free?
Yes. Holle Stage 2 is gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free and peanut-free.
Does Holle Stage 2 contain starch or maltodextrin?
Yes. Alongside lactose, Holle Stage 2 contains maltodextrin and a small amount of organic starch (0.8 g per 100 ml). If you prefer a lactose-only follow-on formula, HiPP Dutch Stage 2 or HiPP Pure German Stage 2 may suit you better.
Does Holle Stage 2 contain palm oil?
Yes. Holle Stage 2 contains palm oil from sustainable cultivation, together with sunflower and rapeseed oil.
Does Holle Stage 2 contain DHA?
Yes. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to normal visual development in infants up to twelve months. The DHA in Holle comes from algae rather than fish oil. Holle Stage 2 also contains iron, calcium and vitamins A, C and D.
Does Holle Stage 2 contain probiotics?
No. Holle formula contains no lactic acid cultures and no added prebiotic fibres such as GOS.
How is Holle different from HiPP?
Both are EU organic. Holle has a large share of Demeter biodynamic ingredients, uses DHA from algae instead of fish oil, and contains no probiotics or GOS. HiPP German Combiotik uses fish oil and adds natural lactic acid cultures and GOS. From Stage 2 onwards, Holle contains maltodextrin; HiPP German does not.
How many bottles does one box of Holle Stage 2 make?
Each box contains 600 g of powder and makes approximately 4.4 litres (150 fl oz) of prepared formula — around 22 bottles of 200 ml. Follow the preparation instructions on the pack.
How many boxes of Holle Stage 2 do I need per month?
If formula is your baby's only milk, expect about 4 boxes a month from 6 to 10 months, based on three 200 ml bottles a day alongside solid food. Every baby is different, so treat this as a guide.
Which stage comes after Holle Stage 2?
Holle Stage 3, from 10 months onwards.
